April 2015 Reading

  • Distrust that particular flavor, by William Gibson

Cover of distrust that particular flavor

This is a collection of Gibson’s ruminations on technology written for various publications including Wired, Time and Rolling Stone. I enjoyed the collection immensely. This is smart, accessible and compelling writing about everything from eBay to watch collecting. And, this being Gibson, Japan. Gibson seems rather apologetic, or at least very modest, about his non-fiction. But I think he is too modest. His essays give an insight into how his fiction is constructed as well as being fascinating reading in themselves.
